Located in the heart of Grande-Champagne since the 16th century, the history of Maison Boinaud is above all that of a family that has been passing down its know-how from father to son for generations.

We step back in time to where records show Pierre Boisneau became godfather to Marie in Angeac.

1640

Sale of a plot of land in Angeac in Boisneau’s name.

XVIII th century

1750

Boisneau, meaning the Wood Man, appears in the census as Jean Boisneau, carpenter.

1795

Boisneau becomes Boinaud

1892

Birth of Charles Boinaud, poet and winegrower, between writing desk and tractor.

XX th century

1900

Family homme built in Angeac.

1946

Michel Boinaud sets up his company in his own name. An iconic figure, he helps build up the family estate. He inherits 1 still and 40 hectares (about 100 acres) of vines.

1992

Acquisition of the brands J. Dupont and Naulin  under Michel Boinaud’s two sons, Xavier and Eric.

XXI th century

2006

Acquisition of the brand De Luze Cognac, founded in 1822 in Bordeaux.

2012

Maison Boinaud boasts 41 stills and 300 hectares of vines.

2016

Passage de flambeau à leurs enfants respectifs Charles et Rémi Boinaud

2021

Passing of the torch to their respective children, Charles and Rémi.

2022

Creation of the French whisky brand Hériose.

2023

New reception area: Maison Boinaud Showroom.
